Driver Solutions Truck Driver Hiring Area

In order to be eligible for the Driver Solutions CDL training program, you must currently live within the designated truck driver hiring area. The designated hiring area is shown as the shaded area on the map. This shaded area represents where Driver Solutions currently has network trucking companies offering truck driving jobs.

The nature of truckload trucking makes it advantageous for a trucking company to hire truck drivers living near the company’s major lanes of freight. Those major freight lines are typically interstate highways or routes near the trucking company’s customer locations. By hiring drivers near its major freight lanes, a trucking company can be more efficient and flexible with driver home time. It’s much easier to get home regularly when freight is consistently hauled near a driver’s home. Fuel costs, out-of-route miles and driving time are all minimized when a truck driver lives close to a major freight lane. If you live too far from the normal freight lanes of the trucking company, getting home becomes difficult to arrange and is costly for fuel and driving time.

A driver applicant needs to have an established residence and mailing address within the hiring area. The Driver Solutions Network hiring area offers several truck driving career opportunities to a large portion within the Midwest, Southeast and East Coast. The hiring area is the most comprehensive source for entry level truck driving jobs.
