Mileage Pay

Truck drivers for USA Truck are paid per mile and entry-level drivers will receive several mileage pay increases during their first year of employment. Solo drivers begin at 26 cents per mile. At 3 months, pay will increase to 27 cents. At 6 months, pay will increase to 30 cents and at the end of 1 year, mileage pay will be 34 cents.

First-year drivers at USA Truck can expect to drive an average of 2,500 miles per week and earn from $35,000 to $40,000 during their first year of driving.

Additional Pay

Additional pay will be provided to USA Truck drivers if the driver is required to load or unload a shipment. USA Truck also awards recruiting bonuses to employees who recruit new drivers to the company.

Over the Road Training Pay

After completing CDL training, new drivers begin a 4 to 6 week over-the-road training period with a USA Truck driver trainer. This period is paid on the job training as the student driver prepares to begin a solo trucking career. During this time, student drivers are paid a salary of $350 per week until training is completed and the student becomes a solo truck driver.
