P.A.M. Transport Driver Pay

P.A.M. Transport offers a great pay package for new drivers completing the Driver Solutions company-paid CDL training program. Shown below are some highlighted details of the driver pay package.

Mileage Pay Options

Your starting mileage pay with P.A.M. Transport depends upon the Driver’s Choice scholarship program you choose. The Driver’s Choice program offers you several options to pay for CDL training. The amount P.A.M. Transport pays toward your tuition cost directly affects your starting mileage rate. The beginning mileage rates range from 25¢ per mile to 27¢ per mile with pay increases every three months during your first year. Depending on the scholarship program you choose, you could earn up to $37,000 your first year.

To learn more about the different Driver’s Choice scholarship programs view the CDL Training Program page.

Additional Pay

Additional pay will be provided to P.A.M. Transport truck drivers in a number of situations, and the amount paid depends upon factors determined by the company. These include:

  • Company safety bonus
  • Loading or unloading freight
  • Extra drop off or pick up
  • Layover
  • Canadian border crossing

Over the Road Training Pay

After completing CDL training, new drivers begin a 4 to 6 week training period with a P.A.M. Transport driver trainer. This is paid on-the-job training as they continue to “learn the ropes” of becoming a truck driver. During this time, student drivers are paid a salary of $300 per week until training is completed and the student becomes a "first seat" or solo truck driver.
